Water -treatment systems

HUMAN RESOURCES INVOLVED

There are four teams under the management of the “Unit for the comprehensive lindane decontamination”, integrated in the Service of Environmental Control of the General Directorate of Sustainability:

  • Analysis laboratory, property of the Government of Aragon, composed by a principal and three assistants, that are in charge of the laboratory tests, seven days a week, effluents and influents analysis of the three water-treatment plants (two of them in Bailin and another one in Sardas). The four points for continuous sampling in Bailin ravine and the river Gallego, plus the eight punctual sampling points in the Bailin ravine and the river Gallego are also monitored by this laboratory, managed by the public company SARGA.
  • The maintenance of the three water-treatment plants and passive sampling system as well as the maintenance of the landfill facilities and the technical assistance to the Government of Aragon is carried out by three bachelor’s degree and four workers. This service is provided by the public company SARGA, seven days a week.
  • Hydrogeological monitoring of Sardas landfill, extraction of leachates and construction of new boreholes. Service provided by contract, that includes a team composed of a bachelor’s degree and two workers, supported by 7 technicians with part-time dedication.
  • Hydrogeological monitoring of Bailin landfill, extraction of leachates and construction of new boreholes. Service provided by contract, that includes a team composed of a bachelor’s degree and two workers, supported by 5 technicians with part-time dedication.
